This is the playoff between 1st in Pool A vs 2nd in Pool B.

Game started at 7:30 am Mon. Nov. 11 on the Weyerhaeuser Arena.

Okanagan Hockey Academy  #2 Pete Kuznetsov scored the only goal in the 1st period with the assist from #13 Thomas Zitz.  Score at the end of the 1st period, Okanagan 1, Surrey 0.

Okanagan scores their second goal at 12:26 of the second period with the goal from #4 Alex Molnar, assisted by #2 Pete Kuznetsov and #25 Gleb Golubchikov.  Second period ends with a score Okanagan 2, Surrey 0.

Surrey’s #21 Luke Warkentin scores at 11:26 of the 3rd period, assisted by #4 Kang Karman.

Final Score Okanagan 2, Surrey 1.  (Shots on goal Okanagan 16, Surrey 15)

Game 12 – Surrey 5 vs North Shore 2

Game started at 2:45 pm Sunday November 10th on the Coulson Rink.

In the first period, North Shore starts the scoring with a goal at 14:06 scored by #3 Cole Byrd, assisted by #11 Nicolas Buziol and #13.  At 12:35 Surrey scores to tie the game with a goal from #7 Logan Sahota, assisted by #16 Sam Witter and #14 Tyson Talhan.  At 8:05 Surrey scores to take the lead with a goal from #21 Luke Warkentin, assisted by #19 Lucas Rojas.  At 6:03 Surrey’s #11 scores their 3rd goal assisted by #10 Saheb Sandhu and #8 Justin De Vos. At the end of the first period, the score is Surrey 3, North Shore 1.

At 3:09 of the second period, North Shore scores a goal by #9 Jack Weller, assisted by #19 Brandon Machry and #27 Hugh Scarborough.  The second period ends with the score,  Surrey 3, North Shore 2.

At 18:44 Surrey’s #10 Saheb Sandhu  scores unassisted.  At 13:22 Surrey scores again with the goal from #7 Logan Sahota, assisted by #8 Justin De Vos. The final score is Surrey 5, North Shore 2.

Penalty Summary – Surrey Hurricanes 22 minutes, North Shore Winterhawks 20 minutes.

Player of the game awards went to Surrey’s #19 Lucas Rojas and North Shore’s #4 Christian Mustapich.


Game 7 – New West 3 vs Surrey 3

Game started at 7:30 am Sunday, November 10th, on the Weyerhaeuser Arena.

Surrey was quick to get on the score board. Surrey’s #10 Saheb Sandhu’s goal was assisted by #21 Luke Warkentin.  New Westminster’s #7 Ermias Mulatu scores late in the first period with assists from #24 Garret Hoffard and #5 Ryan Heaven.  At the end of the first period, the score is New Westminster 1, Surrey 1.

New Westminster breaks the tie with a goal at 17:46 scored by #28 Chase Manderville, assisted by #6 Connor Alderson and #52 Philip Tashin.  Not even a minute later, Surrey returns to tie the score with a goal from #21 Luke Warkentin, assisted by #10 Saheb Sandhu.  New West takes the lead again with an unassisted goal from #27 Josh Launer at 15:16.  Surrey evens the score at 8:28 when #27 scores, assisted by #13 Nick Bizzutto and #10 Saheb Sandhu.

No scoring in the third period.  Final score, New Westminster Royals 3, Surrey Hurricanes 3.

Game 3 – Oceanside 5 vs Surrey 6

Game started at 11:15 am on the Coulson Rink.

The first period had Surrey score with goals from #21 Luke Warkentin, assisted by #2Brando Lee and a goal from #13 Nick Bizzutto, assisted by #10 Saheb Sandhu.  At the end of the first period the score is Oceanside 0, Surrey 2.

The second period saw Oceanside score 5 goals.  The first Oceanside goal was scored by #9 Jarrett Weme, assisted by #17 Liam Downey.  A power play goal was scored by #22 Erik Carney, assisted by #16 Jordan Freeman.  Oceanside’s 3rd goal was scored by #14 Dale Anderson with the assist from #8 Zack Williams. At 8:16 # 16 Jordan Freeman scores with assist from #5 Austin Gibson.  Oceanside’s 5th goal was scored by #7 Luke Russi, assisted by #6 Austin Hykaway and #21 Mitchell MacDonald.  At the end of the second period, the score, Oceanside 5, Surrey 2.

The third period saw Surrey do all the scoring starting with #21 Luke Warkentin, assisted by #17 Jason Vorley and #5 Sam Raikadroka.  At 6:24 Surrey ‘s #9 Cole Hartley scores their 4th goal of the game, assisted by #16 Sam Witter and #17 Jason Vorley.  .  At 3:33  #16 Sam Witter scores with an assist from #9 Cole Hartley.  Only seconds later at 3:25 Surrey’s #11 Tegbir Singh scores with assists from #8 Justin DeVos and #4 Karman Kang. to take the lead in the game.  With 2:07 left on the clock the game is stopped for time.

The final score is Oceanside 5, Surrey 6.

Penalty Summary:  Oceanside 24 minutes, Surrey 4 minutes.

Player of the game awards went to Oceanside #9 Jarrett Weme and Surrey #17 Jason Vorley.
